Marshal Flax, a longtime friend of Kelly’s who has worked as an O&M specialist, low vision specialist and makes low vision simulators through his company Fork in the Road Vision Rehabilitation Services LLC joins the podcast. Those in the accessibility arena may be familiar with what an O&M specialist does but for those outside this world, Kelly and Marshal explore some of the basics of how people who are blind navigate the environment. Marshal gives a glimpse into how an O&M specialist can play a role here and brings insight into the sorts of things such an individual does. Marshal also talks about his work in making low vision simulators that have been used around the world.
